intro
Marie Hazelwood photographs French alt. pop group Francois and the Atlas Mountains at the Soup Kitchen in Manchester
On the road in support of their acclaimed fourth LP 'Solide Mirage', French alt. pop group Francois & the Atlas Mountains visited Manchester Soup Kitchen. A sold-out show, the band's new material continues the band's fascination with Afro pop rhythms and highlife guitar riffs spliced with New Wave synth pop. The only photographer present Marie Hazelwood was there to capture all the action for Pennyblackmusic, showcasing band leader Francois Marry's charismatic stage presence. Thank you to Richard Lewis for the words
