intro
Happy-sounding third single from his much acclaimed comeback album ‘Ringleaders of the Tormentors’ for Morrissey
‘In the Future When All’s Well’ is the third single from Morrissey from his ‘Ringleaders of the Tormentors’ and was written by Morrissey and new boy, Jesse Tobias, and produced by Tony Visconti, whom produced a lot of David Bowie's better known stuff from the 70’s. ‘In the Future When All’s Well’ is a joyful little ditty. If you’re not in his fan club it will seem like a song of rejoicing from Mr Miserable. Nothing I have heard from this guy has, however, ever made me miserable. He sings life as it is in his own eyes, and is a man to rejoice with. It comes in two versions, one a two tracker, the other a three tracker. The B side of the two tracker CD is a new song, ‘Christian Dior’ and was co-written with long time guitarist. Boz Boorer. It is a song about French fashion designer Christian Dior wasting his life when he could have been out having fun and doing all the things, as Morrissey says, that we all know Morrissey himself wouldn’t ever do. The three track features live readings of ‘I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now ‘and ‘To Me You are a Work of Art’, both from the last night of Morrissey’s Sunday night residency at the London Palladium back in May. Both readings are much rockier and better for it.
