Breton - War Room Stories

Label: Believe Recordings
Format: CD
Fashionable but predictable and dull Euro pop on second album from South London-based band, Breton

Review

Chic Euro disco pop performed at the theatre of special effects drivels innocently onwards on 'War Stories'. The music of Breton was most likely designed to feature in between road traffic news bulletins. Typical German-English lines like "I believe everybody has the right to surrender" may yet prove to be Breton's wrong take at writing a hit tune, but the basic material for instant appeal is aplenty on this album. Mysterious beats and seamless melodies provide the backbone to this album. There is even a trace of Afro funk, but overall this is just plain and predictable quasi-pop music.
