Remember Remember - The Dancing

Label: Rock Action Records
Format: 7"
Radio friendly, but ultimately disappointing post-rock on vinyl only single from Glaswegian-based musician, Remember Remember

Review

The Dancing' trods along in places where genuine imagination would have automatically failed. It has a pompous post rock pop sound. Think of Big Country aiming for the pensioner punk generation, handing out free new-wave noodlings, yet on the B-Side. 'Imagining Things', there's at least some form of adventure to be found. 'The Dancing' is a rather disappointing reminder of Remember Remember's debut album from last Autumn. Catchy enough for radio though.

Track Listing:-

1 The Dancing
2 Imagining Things (Re-imagined By Findo Gask)

Remember Remember (2008)
Oddly appealing debut album from enigmatic Glaswegian musician Remember Remember whose brand of would-be intellectual minimalism brings back happy memories of the Penguin Café Orchestra and the Durutti Column
