Auburn Lull - Alone I Admire

Label: Burnt Hair
Format: CD
Re-release of perfect late night and early morning CD which slots "somewhere between the earlier works of Slowdive, ambience and post rock at its most chilled out"

Review

This is a new name to me, but, recorded across the course of three workshops in 1997 and 1998, and re-released now, the music on it is actually over four years old. Timeless in feel, it floats over you and lifts you up. There are lyrics, but you can't really make them out, not that that really bothers you. The ambience of the project lifts you up to a higher plane. The songs on "Alone I Admire' slot somewhere between the earlier works of Slowdive, ambience and post rock at its most chilled out, which makes this a great CD to put on late at night or in the early hours of the morning. Highly recommended !
