Battle - Demons / Damascus

Label: Transgressive Records
Format: 7"
Limited edition indie rock from the up-and-coming Battle, back with a second single

Review

Limited to a mere 1,000 3 inch CDs and 500 only black 7 inch vinyl singles, Battle's second single, after their debut with 'Isabelle' on Fierce Panda, shows the band going from strength to strength. 'Demons' has singer Jason Davanandan's vocal edging to a place somewhere between Joe Strummer and Pete Doherty, but in a good way, It is jangly as hell with a cool little groove and it progresses well. I prefer the B side, 'Damascus', because it is a better song and not as commercial. As a live track, it is more of an anthem, but on record it is quite moody. If you want this be quick as it will disappear very quickly.

Track Listing:-

1 Demons
2 Damascus
