intro
Our Website of the Month is Nutty Boys, a website promoting 1970's and 1980's ska music
In the absence of Fiona Hutchings, who is the regular compiler of this column while she recuperates from a brain haemorrhage, we have made our Website of the Month this month Nutty Boys www.nuttyboys.co.uk. Nutty Boys is an “independent site dedicated to the sound of ska”, and was established in 2005 by “Nutty Boy”, who, after a second stroke forced him into early retirement at the age of 50, decided to use his free time in "promoting ska music and helping to bring to the forefront the music loved by many during the 70's and 80's." This excellent resource is packed with information, facts, videos, tour dates and biographies for all the major bands of the era including the Specials, the Beat, the Selecter, Bad Manners, the Beat and one-time Doc Martins-wearing teenager Fiona's all-time favourite band, Madness. We hope that Fiona will be back on the column next month. Love to her from us all at Pennyblackmusic X
