intro
Mediocre and anonymous-sounding double A-sided single from London-based indie rock band, the Good Suns
Bang the tambourine, strum those snares, repeat the chorus a few times and there you have 'Shadow' by the Good Suns. Style over content, the usual trap that an aspiring Britpop band falls in to. Instantly appealing but ultimately tiresome. The flip, 'At Last I'm Bored', at least shows some promise. The music is just about OK but the vocals are flat and the mere concept wore out at least 20 years ago. Youngsters unaware of Mersey Beat music or say the Jam, from the punk era, may fall for this and will only later find out the reality.
