Excellent EP from North West English three piece indie pop, the Cavalcade

The Cavalcade are a three piece indie pop band from the North West of England consisting of Craig Phillips, Stephen Birtchnell and Richard Banks (Not to be confused with Pennyblackmusic webmaster, Richard Banks-Ed). 'For You' starts the EP and, fresh and exciting in a familiar sounding way, is a crisp indie pop number, a song for dreamers who love this style of music. It is definitely one for fans of the Smiths, Aztec Camera and Orange Juice and is a song to put a hop, skip and jump into your day. 'No Strength' meanwhile is song for fans of Sarah Records and features smooth guitars and backing harmonies galore. 'Secret Signs on Stone' has well paced backing and is a gentle song to sway gently along too. An excellent EP.
