First-rate psychedelic Britpop on new single from the Wolfmen, the latest project of ex-Adam and the Ants members, Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou

The Wolfmen are Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou both formerly of Adam and the Ants. This is not a trip down memory lane but is, however, both fresh and original. 'Jackie, Is It My Birthday?' sounds like a psychedelic Britpop number. It is like an Oasis with talent, trying to be the Beatles at the time of 'Revolver' or 'Sergeant Pepper'. Sinead adds depth and takes the track off into another direction with her guest vocals. 'Blushing God', its B side, has a groove to die for. Think Kula Shaker having a party at the Hacienda. Both tracks on this record have a fine cool swagger.
