intro
Our Website of the Month is Friends of the Heroes, a British-born culture and also music webzine
Formed in 2002, Friends of the Heroes www.friendsoftheheroes.com is a British-born website which is run by "group of friends who write about their heroes. And their inspirations, and their reasons to get out of bed in a morning." It describes itself as an "international webzine containing creative writing, poetry, humorous writing, articles on politics and current affairs, music reviews, book reviews and (most importantly) ideas on how to make life better on a personal and a wider level." Beginning life as a weekly webzine and then becoming fortnightly, it in August 2006, "decided to get with the times and converted...into a blog so now the site is updated more and less often than when it started." As well as having an archive for all its previous material, it has a newsletter, a MySpace site, its own shop and an MP3 Song of the Month.
