Label: Planet Mu
Format: CD

intro

Excellent dance-influenced new album from junglist turned dubstepper, Mark One

As a junglist turned dubstepper, Mark One can be trusted, krusted if you like, to deliver depth in sound. He has done wild, ragga orientated stuff but now calms down in typical current Planet Mu fashion. This Invasion of The Killer Basses works around a pattern of extremely deep grooves and dubstep par excellence, and is a testament to two decades of English dance music. The theme from Krust's drum and bass classic 'Warhead' returns in 'Dr Rudeboy' - disguided as a pitched down genius from planet Bristol, and even more alarmingly in the following track 'Grit' sound effects from that DJ Krust classic are ripped apart to an even bigger dimension. 'Copyright Laws' is very much an excursion into sound and an excellent album to test the speakers while you are at it.
