TunA the Day www.tunatheday.com is a new website, the function of which, as it proprietor Adrian Phillips describes it, is "about giving people access to fresh sounds, whether they were created yesterday or in 1973, and about encouraging them to express their passion and knowledge for music with other people." Each day Adrian puts on-line an MP3 for a different song . "TunA the Day could be rock, pop, soul, jazz, folk, classical, hip hop, indie, world, country, RnB...virtually anything goes" Adrian also says. In recent weeks he has put on-line songs by already firmly established acts such as Wilson Pickett, Moby and John Martyn and also newer less well-known acts such as Amadou and Miriam, Sergeant Buzfuz and LCD Soundsystem. There is a humorous daily blog which provides details about each new song which goes on-line, a links page and also a discussion forum.
