intro
Euphoric house music on latest album from Glaswegian dance duo, Silicone Soul
Glasgow may seem like the unlikeliest of all places to have ever reproduced some of the finest house music but judging by the sounds coming from it right glasnow, Glasgow actually remains such a place. The Soma label brought us Daft Punk's 'Around The World' amongst other first releases, and the label has since then in recent times continued to release an impressive slew of dance floor smashes including 12" releases from Hystereo and Funk D'Void. Deep house beats lashing on mercilessly logically lead to a grand party atmosphere on 'Save Our Souls'. On '3AM' the buzzing euphoria performed by C. Morrison and G. Reedie, the two members of Silicone Soul, brings the album to its first climax. Next, there's bumping and grinding, whilst a flute in the excellent 'The Snake Chamber' takes you adrift, which will intoxicate you even further. On 'Do Some Good' the unsuspected move towards dub comes like a little worry -to some, not me; I thoroughly enjoy this type of escapade. 'Bad Machines' though then comes to the rescue. Its pumping baseline will make you pump up the volume full up. 'Bad Machines' probably is one of the biggest dance floor smashes for Summer 2007! Due to its popping baseline and hammering piano riff, this Silicone Soul's track is the one that DJs will 'cane'. In the second half of the album. 'Save Our Souls' stands out amongst the other tracks. Count yourself lucky if you can get your hands on the double LP set.
