intro

Minimalistic, but powerful new EP from Chicago-based punk drum 'n' bass duo Evil Beaver

Chicago’s Evil Beaver have changed a bit since their last record, ‘Pleased To Eat You’. Evie Evil remains on bass, blasting out fuzzy riffs and singing, but once again the drummer’s seat has revolved, and one Gene Trautmann handles the traps. The band sounds a bit like Lost Goat or a stripped down Muffs with no guitar but an equally lusty edge. As you’d expect from such a minimalist outfit, the music is blunt and direct. On ‘Models of Virtue’, the band exposes their pervy side on 'Cherry Master' and a cover of ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’, dabble in theology on ‘Believin’ Deceivin’’ and sneer in the face of oblique threats on ‘Under The Gun’. A solid taster for their next full-length.

Track Listing:-
1 Believin' Deceivin'
2 Under the Gun
3 I Wanna Be Your God
4 Cherry Master
