intro
Unconvincing debut album from much acclaimed and hyped Stockholm duo Le Sport
If you have read my previous two reviews of Le Sport (for the singles 'Tell No One about Tonight' and 'Business Girls'), this one might look a little repetitive, but now you have been warned. No hard feelings, right? Le Sport are a Swedish duo out of Stockholm, consisting of Örjan and Fredrik, two guys who met two years ago when they were both working at a summer camp. A year later they got a big hit in Sweden with their first single, 'Tell No One about Tonight', and since then they have attracted more and more fans all over their native country. Now the time has come to release the debut album, which is always hard for a hyped band. The taster single, 'It’s Not the End of the World', isn’t their greatest song to date, and after listening to the full album, I realize that the old songs are still the best ones, with 'Your Brother is My Only Hope' being the duo’s best song so far. And regarding the cover… I sincerely hope that it has been done as a joke, because if not I really think someone should be forced to take a course in Adobe Photoshop.
