intro
Tranquil second album from Fax, the moniker of Mexican electro pioneer, which proves "satisfactory home listening, yet too subtle for loud entertainment"
Over the past year, 2003, the Static-Darla connection can be held responsible for the distribution of crême-de-la-crême elektronic music from the American continent. Whatever way you'd like it, click-house or micro-house music established itself as a main current in dance music. Smooth urban glitches from the computers of an ethnic diversity dished up on platters served by Darla rate amongst the finest. Fax's second album for Static features a very fine selection of not so exotically microhouse tracks. In the end this works for native Mexican Ruben A. Tamayo. 'Ruido de Fondo' is a refinement in composition and is regarded as a 2003 clickhouse classic. Intertwining all the way, this CD configures glitches from machines with the notion of redemption. The instrumental beats encounter upon twists and twitches. Whilst the subdued tension builds up to a groovy climax, Fax tosses the bleeps and blips over from left to right, up and down, forth and back till you're left mute and amused. Grace married funk on this album but 'Ruido De Fondo' shuffles through tranquility without a primary bounce. Satisfactory home listening, yet too subtle for loud entertainment. Get your headset on.
