intro

Eclectic guitar rock from new American band, the Killers

The Killers hail from the States, but don't sound American at all. 'Mr Brightside' is their first single, and is already a favourite on London radio station, XFM. 'The title track has catchy guitar lines, a distorted vocal, and is just so cool that it makes you wanna dance. 'On the Top, the second track, features a keyboard intro, and on this singer Brandon Flowers sounds like a cross between Shed 7's Rick Witter and Strangelove's Patrick Duff. 'Smile Like You Mean It' sounds like a mix of early U2 and the Cure during their 'Disintegration' era. The whole thing is finished off with 'Who Let You Go', a pop ditty. A fine band and a great single !
