Since leaving the Coral in 2008 Bill Ryder-Jones has scored films, produced other artists and written and recorded two albums. 2011’s ‘If…’, written as an imaginary soundtrack for the Italo Calvino novel ‘If On A Winter’s Night…’, and last year’s critically acclaimed ‘A Bad Wind Blows in My Heart’, a collection of guitar and piano-based songs about his childhood.
He has also, after a long absence from stage work, recently started touring and playing gigs again, including some dates with the Arctic Monkeys last year. These photographs were taken by Marie Hazelwood at a show on August 1st at the Shipping Forecast in Liverpool.
