The last we got to hear from dDamage was their hefty EP on Planet ยต Records but on this debut for Tigerbass, the Paris duo twists knobs in a style unwitnessed before. Borrowing equally from strapping French techno music as well as from the deafening idiocy of broken beat dance music from the continent, the two tracks on the A-Side serve as little else than distractional.
Turning on to the platter's B-Side, the '100% Hate' title track brings on the goods using method and style of the foremost dDamage standard. Tearing up riddims as if it's daily business, '100% Hate' hammers on relentlessly as if you're watching the Paris, or French - who gives a toss - movie 'La Haine'.
The breezing elektro buzz of '100% Hate' clears the path before 'Drop Them Britches', the last track on this EP comes on. This screeching piece of breakbeat mayhem is the track to go for. Not just as a clever play combining the words 'bitches' and 'bridges', the track also culminates in stirring up a fight. Yet it remains to be seen to whom the '100% Hate' ever was aimed at.
