As a leg of Tigerbeat6, Shockout Records kept quiet when label boss Kid606 found a new home in Berlin, Kreutzberg.
Filastine and Maga Bo's twelve inch serves as perfect proof of the little devil's move. Mixing mahreb and latin dance flavours, Seattle's Filastine and Rio De Janeiro's Maga Bo touch on meeting grounds unexplored before. Joe The Plumber will not understand a word though and instead is likely to notice a clash of, again unfamiliar, styles.
Amidst all the confusion, the body will then take control as this is a set of raw gems fit for the dancefloor. Hiphop backbeats with oriental string arrangements plus grunting vocals over sparsely arranged music offer plenty to one's imagination. In places where the words are to be understood, 'Sonar Calibrado' may have even greater impact ...
