’This is an Emergency’ is the first single from the Pigeon Detectives' second album,‘Emergency’, which was recorded in Wales with Stephen Street.
It starts off with hard hitting Interpol-like guitars and drums, but, as it moves on, it gets more commercial in a new indie way. I really like the drums and guitar pattern.
Matt Bowman’s vocals, however, don't really do much for me, but it should appeal to the band's hardcore following.
