Blitzen Trapper mention the city of lights and by this they mean Las Vegas, rather than Paris. In France. These poor souls whine on as if there is still something left to discover in the ruined soils of Americana.
Blitzen Trapper tread these trodden paths with some enthusiasm, yet their steel guitar strumming and harmony vocals would only mean a lot to folk in the Mid West of the USA. Elsewhere, one would think of 'All Across This Land' as Americana exotica. Originality on this album, however, proves an original sin.
