As a true purveyor of the Grand Lazy Tradition in singer-songwriter indie Americana, here we have Aaron Schroeder. His debut mini album 'Southern Heart In Western Skin' brings together a truly nice bunch of verandah tunes. The album has a nice ballroom touch to it too, and the sensitive snare picking and rolling piano chords may bring back in mind a certain Elliott. And Aaron Schroeder is a bit of a wordsmith just as well, deeply sympathetic to all creatures great and small in just a few songs.
