Hello, and welcome to the late November edition of the Pennyblackmusic Magazine.

We are premiering this month the video for ‘Murder Park’, which is taken from Madam’s extraordinary third album, ‘Back to the Sea’. In what became an ‘accidental’ interview, our fifth with her, we also talk to singer-songwriter and front woman Sukie Smith about its making in Los Angeles, and her continued plans to create a video for every track on the album.

We are also running another ten interviews this month.

In our lead interview drummer Woody Woodmansey speaks to Lisa Torem about his years working with David Bowie as one of the infamous Spiders from Mars and his work on such classic albums such as ‘The Man Who Sold the World, ‘Hunky Dory’ and ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust’; his recent memoir and his current project Holy Holy and its upcoming tour.

Our other headline interviews include former 4AD act Dead Can Dance on ‘Dionysus’, their first album in seven years; one-time Brit pop act Embrace on their forthcoming tour to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of their debut LP ‘The Good Will Out’; Scottish dance/rock act Hipsway on their comeback album, ‘Secrets and Dreams’, and 70’s mod act Secret Affair on next year’s 40th anniversary tour.

We are also running interviews with Benjamin Orr biographer Joe Milliken; young 60’s-influenced act Lucas & King; experimental artist Ashley Reaks; producer Matt Brown about 'On Big Shoulders', his album project which takes as its theme the city of Chicago, and Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Emilio Pinchi whose new EP 'Holiday' is being released on cassette.

Other highlights include a profile on Bobbie Gentry; a tribute to Chas Hodges of Chas and Dave;Ten Songs That Made Me Love...columns on Graham Parker and the Mystery Jets; an Under the Radar column on psych folk act The Rowan Amber Mill; sixteen live reviews and Photoscapes and over 25 album reviews.
