MGMT - Kids

Label: Columbia
Format: CDS
Latest single from bestselling New York-based duo MGMT, which has a strong 1980's dance sound

Review

'Kids' is the latest single from the New York-based duo MGMT, who had massive hits earlier this year both with their debut album, 'Oracular Spectacular', and the single, 'Time to Pretend'. 'Kids' has a big 1980's dance sound. It is definitely one for Erasure and Depeche Mode fans. The first of the B sides is a remix of the title track by Soulwax and is much more synth based. The duo's vocals are higher up in the mix, and, much more full on, all the better for it. It is an out and out house number and great stuff, until it overheats and goes completely off the wall. 'Of Moons, Birds and Monsters (Holy Ghost Remix') is another big 80's sounding dance number. It sounds like a mixture of the best of OMD and the Scissor Sisters and has a powerful flow to it.

Track Listing:-

1 Kids
2 Kids (Soulwax Remix)
