Label: Stiff Records
Format: 7"

intro

Classic vinyl only new wave punk released on the relaunched Stiff Records from up-and-coming Leciester-based band the Displacements

This is the second single from the newly relaunched punk label Stiff records. The Displacements hail from Leicester and this 7 inch only release has already sold out practically everywhere. The band are Andrew John Esquire, Nicholas Paul, Schwill and James Stone, and have a massive hometown following. Their local Virgin Megastore is already claiming that they could be as big as the next Kasabian. 'Frontline Heart' opens up sounding like a classic Blondie number. Imagine 'Atomic' or 'Dreaming' sped up with a male vocal, which sung by Andrew. is both catchy as hell and charming. The B side, 'You Don't Know Who Your Real Friends Are' is edgy and punky and features a throbbing bass. It is easy to see why have Stiff released this. This is pure cheeky punk new wave done exactly the way it should be done.
