Asia Argento is a name that in Britain not many people know. If you do, then it will be because you have seen the Vin Diesel movie 'XXX', that is not a porn film but a James Bond type action adventure film, in which Asia played the bad girl. What then is an actress like Asia doing on a music website ? Well, she loves her music, and has now become a rather fine DJ. Her Father is Italian film director Dario Argento, and her mother is Daria Nicolodi. Dario makes the best and most psychological horror movies since Hitchcock while Daria is one of Italy's finest actresses. Asia directs rock promo videos as well as acts, and has now directed two movies, the brilliant 'Scarlet Diva', which is loosely based on her life story and the recent 'The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things', which scripted by J.T.Leroy, is a heavy movie about child abuse and overcoming it. This film is one of the best and most moving rock and roll films in year Check it out when it gets to DVD. It is both heartfelt and disturbing at the same time. Asia has also recorded the old Serge Gainsbourg/Jane Birkin number 'Je T' Aime' with Brian Molko from Placebo, which is on a Hut records compilation. She also stars in the new Gus Van Sant release 'Last Days', which loosely tells of the last few hours of Kurt Cobain ! Check her out ! She is talented and also very beautiful.
