intro

Excellent reissue of 1987 single from June Brides' front man Phil Wilson, who will be releasing his first solo album in twenty five years in the autumn

June Brides front man Phil Wilson's solo EP, 'Ten Miles', was originally released on Creation Records in 1987. Now re-released on German micro-label Edition 59 Records, 'Ten Miles' sounds like an acoustic Byrds playing as if their lives depended on it and with the flame of the Smiths burning brightly in the background. 'A Jingle' sounds like a great Smiths number or the Banshees with a swagger. Added violin helps its backing harmonies. 'Jackson', which is a duet, is a romping country number and was also covered by Lee Hazlewood. This is a great EP from Phil, who will be returning to us in the autumn with his first solo album in twenty five years.

Track Listing:-
